About Our Avalon, NJ, Hotel

About Us

ICONA Windrift Resort was originally known as the Windrift Hotel, a beloved Avalon, NJ, hotel for generations of families, couples, and groups. The Windrift joined the ICONA Resorts family in 2021, and we immediately began the plans for a multi-million-dollar renovation of all accommodations, restaurants, and social areas. Our fresh, new hotel rooms will be available for the 2022 season, while the restaurant and event venues will undergo renovations this Cozy Season and will be all-new for the 2023 season!

Yet Contemporary

ICONA Resorts partnered with leading oceanfront developer Achristavest Properties and Caritas Construction to craft a timeless yet contemporary beachfront resort in Avalon, NJ, that celebrates the Windrift Hotel’s history while offering contemporary, coastal chic luxury and amenities.

Following the refurbishment, our Avalon, NJ, hotel will be one of only two – the second being our sister hotel right next door, ICONA Avalon Resort – oceanfront hotels on Avalon NJ's 7-Mile Island.

The heart of our name contains the word icon. An icon is a symbol of the sacred. Each of the ICONA resorts in Avalon, Diamond Beach, and Cape May are iconic destinations, where guests enjoy sacred moments with their family and friends.

The "A" at the end of our name stands for "Aloha". We serve each guest with the Aloha spirit of warmth, welcome and love. Our resorts are designed to maximize our guests' comfort in every way and Team ICONA strives to provide every guest a heavenly experience.
